Terms of Use
Effective August 10, 2026. US Land Use is an operational free beta and these terms are not attorney-reviewed. By using the site or API, you agree to use it lawfully and accept that the service may change or be unavailable.
Service and data
We provide normalized information collected from public municipal records. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, timeliness, or suitability for a particular decision. Verify important information with the original government source. The service is not legal, financial, zoning, or professional advice.
Source rights and reuse
Public availability is not a license to copy, scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit source material. Source operators, municipalities, vendors, dataset licenses, attribution rules, robots directives, and applicable law may impose different requirements. US Land Use does not grant rights in source content or documents. Review the source-policy notice and original source terms before using records outside internal evaluation.
Beta access
Free API access is limited to 1,000 requests per UTC day and one request per second per API key. We may suspend keys for abuse, excessive load, scraping, credential sharing, or violation of these terms.
Acceptable use and liability
Do not reverse engineer, disrupt, bypass limits, or use the API for unlawful activity. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as-is and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
